White Cloud's Beginning

Founded in Spring of 2015, White Cloud Communication was born as a result of Cassie's love of building relationships and spending as much time as possible in the mountains of Idaho.  Cassie has effectively worked within the outdoor, fitness, active lifestyle, adventure travel, fine wine & food and financial services industries for over 12 years. With Cassie's breadth of knowledge and experience in public relations, communications, media planning, marketing strategy, social media and more combined with a intrinsic love of connecting people, places and things, White Cloud was born.

Why White Cloud?

The team of fun-loving, hard working, bad-ass women of White Cloud collectively bring 40+ years of experience mixed between in-house brand, agency and journalism, curating wide angles of perspective and a progressive vision for today’s ever-changing digital landscape.  We are active participants and leaders, putting forward an authentic voice for our partner brands, reinforced by carefully considered public relations and communication strategies, deployed in a no-nonsense style of execution to generate meaningful results. Above all, we take pride in our deep network of genuine relationships between clients, industry peers and media alike.

Our team:

Born and raised on Vashon Island, WA with many of her formative years spent in the mountains of Sun Valley, ID, Cassie is an avid outdoors and adventure enthusiast.  After graduating from Lakeside School in Seattle, Cassie spent four years earning an economics degree and gaining national recognition on the lacrosse field at Colorado College.

Since college Cassie has made a point to travel the world and take on new adventure at every corner, within her career and otherwise.  Following years in marketing at GMR Marketing in San Francisco on the Visa account team and at Grand Targhee Resort, Cassie moved home to Sun Valley (Ketchum, ID) to take on a rapidly growing role as Smith Optics' communication manager, where she oversaw global communications strategy, PR, product launches and media planning across all channels.   Prior to founding White Cloud Communication spring 2015, Cassie had amassed over 10 years of brand and agency experience within the active lifestyle, resort and financial services segments managing communication strategy and integrated marketing.

When not in the office, you can find Cassie somewhere deep in the mountains on her bike, skis or sleeping under the stars with her spunky pup, Kirby.  Or sipping the occasional margarita in the sunshine.
